While working in the insurance industry in the mid-90s, Ross identified a need for employers to have a trusted representative to work on behalf of their employees. Healthcare, employee benefits and having a protected and productive workforce were moving to the forefront of employer concerns and his expertise gave him the confidence and insight to branch out on his own. In October of 2001, Ross formed Meridian Group of New York, which now assists several hundred group and individual clients. Through his leadership and integrity, the Meridian team has been built with experts in their field who constantly look out for their clients' best interests and stay on top of cutting edge trends in their industry.

Ross began his career as an insurance representative in 1991 and then moved onto a position at a local agency in 1993, where he was instrumental in creating a successful employee and executive benefits division, which evolved into one of the largest firms of its kind in Central New York. Ross earned his Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship designation in 1996 and continues to pursue his education in the employee benefits field.
